I love my Bokyna sandals, I have three pairs! They are gorgeous and comfortable and a perfect fit for my long narrow feet. I get lots of compliments on them and have people asking where I purchased them. And to top it all off, as a vegan who cares deeply for animals and out planet, I love that they’re cruelty free!

Love my new sandals and have immediately ordered another pair in the alternative style. Cute, comfortable (light as air) and different. Will be great for traveling (if we ever get to do that again!). I'm a classic US/AUS size 5.5 and the Size 5/EU36 fit just fine. Suspect Size 6 would have been too big so size down if you're in between. I find flat shoes like this do look better if the sole is a close fit.

Seastar is my fav

Love the styles and colours. The negative is I find both styles hurt my feet a bit. The Seastar is more comfortable than the Soulmate for me. Seastar hurts between the toes when walking and Soulmates are just uncomfortable, they hurt in a few places. I’m a size 8/9 depending on width as I do have broad feet so I don’t recommend Soulmates for broad feet. Hopefully they will give a bit in time. I’m a bit disappointed and can’t justify the price.

Are the Bokynas suitable for wide feet?

In size 9 the Bokynas are 10cm wide. They are less suitable for very wide feet, will however fit for slightly wider feet.

Are the cords adjustable?

Yes, by moving the side cords, our Bokynas can be made a bit narrower.

With time, do the cords get longer?

No, the cords don't get any bigger when you wear them. They do not wear out but keep their shape. But that also means that you can't "shrink" them.

How thick is the sole?

The sole is 2 cm thick at the back of the heel and 1 cm thick at the front.

Do the Bokynas have a footbed or insole?

Bokynas do not have a footbed or insole. Nevertheless, all our sandals have flexible soles so you can enjoy nothing but comfort at every step.

Isn't the band between the toes uncomfortable?

The ribbons that the bands are made of are very soft. But don't take our word for it - here is what one of our wonderful customers Alisson says: "The cords fit super, are butter soft, and you don't notice them at all." Alisson purchased a pair of Turquoise Soulmates on 25 May 2019.

Do the bokynas fit on a bunion?

As the extent and location of each person's bunion will be different, it is difficult to give one answer to suit everyone. We have had previous great feedback from customers who have purchased the SOULMATE model, as the bunion fits exactly into the gap between the straps. However, this result cannot be generalised for every unique customer situation.

Do the Bokynas fit at a high instep?

Because the size of each person's arch will be different, it is difficult to give one answer that will suit everyone. If your arch is very high you may not be able to tighten the straps enough to make sure the sandals stay firmly on your feet. However, this result cannot be generalised for every unique customer situation.

Do I have a good grip in the Bokynas?

Yes, you have good grip in the Bokynas. The cords fit well to the foot, so you don't slip around. The sole is also contoured which prevents slipping.

How can I clean the Bokynas?

The Bokynas are colorfast and can be washed by hand with warm water and soap.

Are they suitable for long walks?

Yes, they are comfortable to wear even on long distances. The cords are very soft and do not rub. The sole is pleasantly flexible. There is a light profile which provides good grip.
